Can I become a member of the club?

Full members of the Club must be employees of one of the “Eligible Companies” or personnel having a direct relationship with Farnborough organisations.

 Eligible Companies are: 

• Companies located on Cody Technology Park 

• The Farnborough Airport operating company and companies and organisations based at Farnborough Airport. 

• Companies and organisations located within one mile of the Airport and Cody Technology Site perimeters  

• Farnborough College of Technology (staff and students) 

• Retired or redundant employees of the Eligible Companies. 

• Dependants of employees of the Eligible Companies, minimum age 18. 

• Crown Servants (civilian or military) living within 25 miles of Farnborough and their dependant relatives.

Can I operate my aircaft from Farnborough?

Currently no.

The club has strict limits on numbers of club aircraft.


Does the club provide flying training?

The Farnborough Aero Club is a CAA Declared Training Organisation. The club is fully licensed to offer PPL and LAPL Pilot training.

The Club can also provide training for the IMC ( IR/R), Night Rating and Aerobatic endorsements. Tailwheel differences training is also provided as is renewal and revalidation of all licences and ratings.

The Club CFI is a CAA Examiner for all Pilot licences and ground Examinations.

Training places are limited and can be discussed with the CFI.
